The ProLinx family Modbus TCP/IP to DNP 3.0 Slave communications module (5201-MNET-DNPS) creates a powerful connection between devices on a Modbus network and DNP Slave devices. The module is a stand-alone DIN rail-mounted protocol gateway that provides one ethernet port and one serial port. The Modbus TCP/IP (MNET) driver can be used to interface many different protocols into the Schneider Electric Quantum family of processors as well other software solutions supporting the protocol. The MNET driver supports Client connections as well as Server connections. The DNP 3.0 Slave protocol driver supports Slave implementations of the protocol on one port. This port is fully configurable, providing a great deal of flexibility.
The MNET unit is an aluminum-cased, stand-alone, DIN rail-mounted protocol gateway; One Ethernet port and one serial port; Client and Server support; up to 100 fully-configurable client commands; Web/ftp interface capabilities (can be enabled to display module's internal register and status values, accept user data input values via POST commands for setpoint, on/off control, etc.); Supports server functionality using the reserved Modbus TCP/IP service port 502, as well as service port 2000 to support the TCP/IP encapsulated Modbus protocol that is used by several HMI manufacturers.
