Opto 22 manufactures controllers, I/O, solid-state relays, and software products that link electrical, mechanical, and electronic devices to networks and computers. The company's customers use its products to monitor, control, and get data from all the machines and devices that are essential to their business. The company's latest product, groov, makes it easy to build mobile operator interfaces to virtually any system, with no programming.

Opto 22 was founded in 1974 by engineers who designed a better solid-state relay and chose to build it in a non-corporate, flat organization. Over 40 years later, Opto 22 is still privately held, lean, and run by engineers.

Opto 22 products are built on open standards, with an emphasis on quality. All are manufactured and supported from the company's headquarters and factory in Temecula, California. The company's goal is to simplify automation - to simplify your day-to-day job so you can pursue new ideas and build for the future.

The modern design of the groov EPIC processor offers a compact, industrial computer that features a resistive-touch, high-resolution LCD display. The LCD display lifts to provide easy access to the power button, power supply connectors, network interfaces, ports, and status LEDs.
groov RIO®I/O InterfaceModbus TCPOpto 22's groov RIO - remote Ethernet I/O for industrial internet of things (IIoT) and automation applications - solves two main problems with most remote I/O today: 1. specifying all the required components (rack, power supply, bus coupler, module types, and more) is time-consuming, difficult, and requires significant domain expertise; and 2. communicating data among field devices, control systems, company software, and cloud services is complex and costly, requiring PLCs, programming, and middleware.
Basler DGC-2020 Digital Genset Controller Integration Kit for PAC Control, PAC-INT-MBBASSoftware - ProgrammingModbusThe PAC Project files included in this Opto 22 kit provide an interface to use a SNAP PAC controller to read and write Modbus parameters to a DGC-2020 Digital Genset Controller by Basler Electric.
Modbus Integration Kit for PAC Control, PAC-INT-MBSoftware - ProgrammingModbus, Modbus TCPThis Modbus Integration Kit for PAC Control allows Opto 22 SNAP PAC controllers using PAC Control to communicate using the Modbus Serial RTU, Modbus Serial ASCII or Modbus TCP protocol. This kit replaces the Modbus/TCP Integration Kit for PAC Control (part # PAC-INT-MBTCP) and the Modbus Serial Integration Kit for PAC Control (part # PAC-INT-MBSER).
Modbus Integration Kit for OptoControlSoftware - ProgrammingModbusThe OPTOINTMB is an integration kit for communicating between OptoControl and third-party serial Modbus RTU or ASCII protocol devices. The integration kit includes subroutines, example strategies, and documentation. This kit is compatible with OptoControl 2.2 and newer.
Modbus/TCP Integration Kit for ioProjectSoftware - ProgrammingModbus TCPThis Modbus/TCP Integration Kit for ioControl allows Opto 22 controllers using ioControl to connect via Ethernet to any Ethernet/TCP-Modbus device and communicate using the Modbus/TCP protocol.
IOP-INT-MBSER Modbus/Serial Integration Kit for ioControlSoftware - ProgrammingModbusThis Modbus/Serial Integration Kit for ioControl allows Opto 22 Ultimate I/O controllers, using ioControl, to connect via a serial network to any Modbus device and communicate using the Modbus RTU or ASCII protocols. The Integration Kit contains a set of ioControl client subroutines, an example Modbus server strategy, and ioDisplay client and server projects to show communication between the example strategies and a Modbus device.
SoftPAC Software-based ControllerControllerModbus TCPSoftPAC™ is a software-based programmable automation controller (PAC) designed for PC-based control. SoftPAC gives you the choice of running your control program in a Microsoft Windows environment rather than on a standalone or rack-mounted PAC. SoftPAC is designed for machine builders or OEMs who may already have a PC in their product or want to use one for a new design.
E1 and E2 Brain BoardsI/O InterfaceModbus TCPE1 and E2 brain boards are Ethernet-ready I/O and communication processors for digital and analog I/O systems. The E1 connects to a rack of Opto 22 G1, G4, or Quad Pak™ digital I/O modules, while the E2 connects to a rack of Opto 22 G1 analog I/O modules. Each brain board communicates with a host computer and performs control functions for each I/O point.
SNAP PAC Brains, EB1 & EB2I/O InterfaceModbus TCPSNAP PAC brains are powerful and versatile I/O and network communications processors for the SNAP PAC System™ They are designed primarily to work in distributed systems controlled by a SNAP PAC programmable automation controller, but SNAP PAC Ethernet brains can also be used as intelligent remote I/O in an Allen-Bradley® RSLogix®-based PLC system or as PC-based I/O.
SNAP PAC R-Series ControllersControllerModbusThe SNAP PAC R-series programmable automation controllers provide real-time control and communication, monitoring, and data acquisition. Part of the Opto 22 SNAP PAC System™, the R-series PAC is a rack-mounted, industrially hardened unit that can handle multiple tasks involving digital and analog control, serial string handling, communication, and enterprise connectivity. SNAP PAC R-series controllers can monitor and control a wide range of devices and equipment wired to the I/O on its own rack and to I/O on distributed racks equipped with SNAP PAC EB-series brains. Alternatively, the R-series controller can be used as a server to a larger, SNAP PAC S-series standalone industrial controller or a SoftPAC™ software-based controller for PC-based control. Six models of the SNAP PAC R-series controller are available
SNAP PAC S-Series ControllersControllerModbus TCPThe SNAP PAC S-series programmable automation controllers provide powerful, real-time control and communication to meet your industrial control, monitoring, and data acquisition needs. These compact, industrially hardened controllers can handle multiple control, automation, and data acquisition tasks involving digital and analog control, serial string handling, PID, and enterprise connectivity.
Analog and Digital SNAP Brain, SNAP-B3000-MODBUSI/O InterfaceModbusWith the SNAP-B3000-Modbus brain, you can use Opto 22 industrial I/O hardware with your existing Modbus-compatible controller. The SNAP-B3000-Modbus is a high-performance brain designed to remotely control a mix of both analog and digital I/O modules using the SNAP B-series I/O mounting racks. With SNAP B Series racks and any combination of compatible analog and digital SNAP I/O® modules, this brain provides a powerful and sophisticated I/O handling system. The on-board intelligence of the SNAP-B3000-Modbus offers many distributed control functions.
groov Server for Windows, GROOV-SVR-WINSoftware - HMIModbus TCPgroov Server for Windows, GROOV-SVR-WIN, includes groov software (groov Build for building operator interfaces and groov View for using them) and is ready for installation on a Microsoft Windows PC. Once installed, groov Server runs as a service on your computer. A fully functional version of the software-based groov Server for Windows is available to download and try so you can see your own system's data on a smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device.
OptoEMU Sensor 3V Energy Monitoring UnitMonitoring HardwareModbus TCPThe OptoEMU Sensor monitors the electrical energy used in a facility and then delivers that data to online software applications or control systems.
